Lettermark

In this project we worked on the basics of lettermarks and making a personalized lettermark. We were tasked with looking at fonts we liked and then using that as inspiration to create our own lettermark that coincided witht the first letter of our name.

My Process

Sketches through Revisions

First I looked for fonts that I like that were already established. Once I had sufficient inspiration, I started on sketching out ideas. I had numerour ideas that I liked but I stuck to something reminiscent of blackletter but then decided to add a celtic knot.

Variations

For my project, in the lettermark assignment, I wanted there to be some variation in the colors and minute changes in the design. This would be the filled in serifs and pieces in the letter. I also presented it in three colors, black white and green so there would be variation in an established “brand” guideline.
