Polar Bear and Iceberg

Symbol Montage

This assignement was one where we had to combine two different onjects into one. Our assignment had us use two objects that would show a current world issue. I chose polar bear and ice berg. This would show how the polar bear depends on the melting habitat that they call home, ice bergs of the arctic.

My Process

Sketches through Revisions

I went to look for inspiration, then made a couple moodboards, then started sketching. I wanted to show the dependance of the polar bears to the icebergs. I had several versions of the polar bear but decided on the one in the final. After sketching, I went to adobe Illustrator and finished the design there after many revisions.

Mockups

I used a mockup for this project. I wanted to use a mockup that I thought would be used by someone who would wear the design. I thought of buttons for a nonprofit organization that raises money for conservation efforts that relate to polar bears and/or ice bergs or something similar.
